The Servant of the People party is preparing an application to join the ALDE - the decision of the congress

On Monday, November 15, the XIII Congress of the Servants of the People Party decided to prepare an application to join the European party alliance ALDE.

As the party’s international secretary Vadym Halaichuk noted: “The Servant of the People party shares the key values that ALDE upholds in relation to democracy, the rule of law, human rights and solidarity; a just and free society; sustainable development and peace; EU enlargement and the prosperity of Europe.

He also added, that on the part of the party alliance, Ukraine already has the constant support of sovereignty and territorial integrity, particularly in restoring control over the temporarily occupied territories of Donbas and Crimea.

It is known that the European party alliance ALDE was founded in 1993 and has more than 70 member parties, as well as more than a thousand individual members in European countries.

Currently, in the European Parliament, the ALDE operates under the renewed name Renew Europe, which consists of 99 MEPs, almost 13% of the European Parliament.
