Parliament supports "baby boxes"

On September 30, the Verkhovna Rada passed Bill №3006a that included the provision of “baby box”, a one-time newborn child support initiative.  The value of the baby box that can be obtained within 30 days after childbirth, will be no less than three official subsistence minimums for children under six years of age.

UNICEF analytics confirms that parents appreciate the assistance. The initiative is in sync with European approach to state support for young parents.
